A Ranch Handler may earn no more than 105 points before being required to move to a higher class. Points will be assigned to handlers beginning with those earned in the 2011 trial year.
Open Ranch Handlers may run a dog in the Ranch Class, however that dog is not eligible for Triple Crown, Dog of the Year or the State Finals Trial.

Oct. 14, 2011m 9:05 am Central Time Amended motion. Herbert Holmes motioned to Allow a ranch or open ranch handler to drop an open dog down to the ranch class. Run the dog for the points currently allowed for moving a dog down a class. When the open dog that was dropped to the ranch class is moved up to the open ranch, it can only earn 16 points and is not eligible for end of the year awards. Seconded by Jo Anne Noble.

Payne moved to accept the Stephenville Chamber of Commerce proposal and
Pat Ashcraft's proposal for fields and sheep for the 2010 TSDA Finals,

E.B. Raley motioned, On this date January 28, 2010, I offer a motion to
rescind motion dated January 10 that changed the format of TSDA Finals
trials for 2010 allowing a “trial within a trial format”, seconded by Dal
Lamphere.
1/12/10 5:45 am Central Time Herbert Holmes motioned for the Nursery dog of year points count from the first day of August thru the last day of July, the following year, with the exception of the first TSDA finals nursery class that falls after the Nursery dogs eligibility has run out. those points will count for dog of the year. Finals Open Class by creating a class within a class for open, add a
USBCHA Nursery Class and review rules pertaining to the Finals, seconded

Kay Stephens moved to amend EB's motion to read : Change the TSDA nursery dog age rule to coincide with that of the USBCHA, with the exception of permitting dogs to compete in the TSCDA State Finals trial, seconded by Gary Payne.

Gary Payne motioned to open up the TSDA Finals trial to all dogs and all handlers by creating a "trial within a trial" and in order to facilitate this change we need to delete all rules currently in place in regard to the sheep finals (refer to Rules Section IV-H), seconded by Kay Stephens.

Several months
ago Kay formed a committee and charged JoAnne Noble with chairing the
committee to review the issue of handlers entering TSDA trials, especially
novice class, from other venue, (e.g.: AKC, ASCA, AHBA, etc). The
committee members were; Red Oliver, Francis Raley, Ron Burkey, Joy Hall,
Geri Abrahms, Catherine Laria, Sheryl McDonald, Terri Nicolau. Kay
Stephens motioned to accept the proposal from the committee, seconded by

That a dog which begins a trial year with no more than 50% of their lifetime points be allowed to run for DOY for an entire trial year in the class they begin the trial year in. Any dog which has earned more than 50% of their lifetime points must move up at the point in the trial year they reach the lifetime points for compulsory advancement allowed for that class

"It is the responsibility of buyers and sellers to properly represent
